(At an attempt to cheer myself up.)
This song has been my best friend this week. I loved the trailer so much that I was compelled to do fan art! I need to get myself one of Gru’s minions. They’re so adorably klutzy and weird, I would love them forever.
Sorry for the terrible quality, but I have no scanner and made do with a photo.

Gru’s minions and the song belong to Universal Pictures.

Sara in the 60’s
Really late post. This was a photoshoot with my friends mid last year which I never got around to editing and posting until now. I forgot about it actually because I wasn’t very happy with the results at the time. I think I managed to salvage them though. I apologize, however, for the obvious lack of a more creative way to present/arrange the photos.
More photos soon!

I frequent late night thoughts,
when I become not exactly myself.
With my hair half made in
an undone braid,
thoughts ebb from
the back corners of my mind
that I do not venture in
when the sun sits high.
The parade is a quintessential part of the Sinulog experience. Never underestimate how creative Cebuanos can get with costumes and choreography!

This year I ran around with Beau and his classmates, which was actually really fun. I felt like an older sister. Haha! We did the normal rounds - church, walk, eat, henna, party, rest, party, drink, parade, party, eat.

And even at night, Sinulog persists to blaze across the city streets.

This Sinulog was definitely one of my favorite ones so far. Til’ next year! Pit Senyor!
Sinulog is, hands down, one of my favorite times of the year. I’ve been attending the parade since I learned how to walk and every year, the festivity, color and Cebuano pride never fail to amaze me.
This year, the partying started earlier than usual so it was a great chance to take some wild party photos. It was so much trouble making sure that my camera stayed paint and alcohol free!

What is wild?
On the flipside, my other favorite thing about Sinulog aside from the parties are the children watching in awe as colors, noise and people are flying about. Oh to wonder like only a child can. :)

(Inspired by a photo I saw around Tumblr once.)
A gift - because it all started with a Star Wars marathon. :)

Person I Love #2: Robin Cañete
Bob is such a weirdo sometimes but that’s what I love most about him really. I can always count on him to make me laugh when I’m down and reassure me when things go wrong. What else can I say about the guy who was my first rose, really? :>
Person I Love #1: Dani Olivan
My favorite person over 6 feet, my Manang’s buddy, my wise-older-friend, my team captain and sometimes needed moral compass (haha), Dani feels like someone I could have known for a dozen years of personal dilemmas, kagagohans and car rides. He’s definitely someone who has helped define my life in the Ateneo and is one of the most intelligent, dedicated, and genuine people I know. Also he’s quite sexy.
ps. I should have taken a photo of your legs since they’re quite characteristic, but then again this was quite last minute! Heh.
Sto. Nino, or the baby Jesus, is known for his love to travel. It was appropriate that I found him mounted on a tricycle I was on one rainy day.
November 2011
I finally got off my lazy butt and started doing legit shoots again! This one is an idea I’ve wanted to experiment with for a while now. I’m extremely happy to be able to have it out of the way. :)
I wanted to play with color, lines, curves and of course, a contrast between them.

We played around with a lot of colors and expressions to go with them. I love how expressive Micah can be! Our friend, Beggy, helped a lot too in coming up with ideas. :)
Props for letting me put paint on her face. This is why Micah is my go-to model for wild shoots like this!

This was such a fun shoot! Thanks so much to:
